Learning to Understand Needs and Abilities
April 2021 Challenge!
We came together as a community and virtually travelled the length of Britain - 874 miles ! We wanted it to be as inclusive and accessible as possible so miles were be made up in any way (don't worry - running is NOT required!) and so we encouraged any kind of movement or personal challenge. We spread the word of the work LUNA does and raised some funds through sponsorships! Check out our Go Fund Me page here!
How can I get involved?
There are lots of ways to get involved! You can participate in covering some miles in April , just track them and send it across to LUNA to add it to our running total! Or you can complete a personal challenge that will be converted into miles and be added! If that isn't for you we would love if you could share our posts to let more people know about our fundraiser and if you are able, you can also donate via our Go Fund Me page link:
What is a "personal challenge"?
We want this challenge to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, and so are running a "personal challenge" scheme, where you decide for yourself how you want to challenge yourself to help us cross britain, and we will convert it into miles! Your personal challenge can be anything at all - here are some ideas to get you started ...
Learn to do the splits! (like Ross!)
Learn a new recipe!
Read a series of books!
Do 30 days of Duolingo!
Pick up a new skill!
Do some baking!
Or perfect an old skill!
Stay updated with our progress !

We are SO excited to share that as a community we have not only surpassed the miles we aimed to reach this week, but we have surpassed our total fundraising target! We also passed our first milestone - Bath! 📍Chosen because it is the furthest south a LUNA team member lives (the lovely Amber!) ☀️
A special shout out this week to the amazing Maisie from @littlescrunchieco who donated all their profits this weekend! Unbelievably generous!

Week two roundup ! We are SO excited to share that as a community we have not only surpassed the miles we aimed to reach this week, but we have surpassed our total fundraising target! 🌟
We also passed our second milestone - Leeds! 📍Chosen because it is where so much of LUNA started in the summer of 2018 in Beth, Ross, and Ally’s kitchens planning and planning and planning! ☀️
Week 3
Week three roundup ! We are SO close to our distance target - thank you everyone !!! We also passed our second milestone - Glasgow! 📍Chosen because it is where the majority of team LUNA are based (including the lovely Grace who is doing todays takeover!) ☀️
